A Tumut Pioneer Dies, Mr. William Eggleton

Death has removed another of the old Tumut pioneers, Mr. William Eggleton, senior, who died at the residence of his son Albert at Bombowlee, at the advanced old ago of 78 years.

He was the oldest native of the district, being the son of the late William Eggleton, who carried on a blacksmith's shop when the site, of the town was on and around the Tumut racecourse, and was born close to the mile-post on the racecourse track
