2 January 1890
On Tuesday evening the front wheel of the Adelong mail coach came off when going down the hill near the Killarney and Gilmore roads, Tumut.
The coach capsized, and Glynn, the driver, was seriously injured about the face, and a passenger named Dixon dislocated his ankle.
Thomas Nestor, landlord of the Woolpack Hotel, received a compound fracture of the leg.
