Big Cattle Movement

29 June 1945 Cootamundra Herald

Reports come to hand that the second train, of dairy, cattle which left Tumut recently arrived safely at Curlewis on the following Sunday.

718 of the 732 head trucked between Tumut and Cootamundra arrived safely and alive at their destination, despite a very slow trip, which resulted in a delay of 15 hours.

Six head were left at Dubbo for grass.

The grass at Curlewis is a toot high, and is good quality herbage.

The train crew considers the stock should improve immensely.
