Big Post-War Water Projects

The Premier, Mr. McKell, has approved post-war water conservation schemes to cost many millions of pounds.

These projects Include the Glenbawn Dam on the Hunter; the Keepit Dam and Boggabri diversion weir on the Namoi; Ballyrogan Dam and Marrowie Diversion Weir on the Lachlan; Burrondong Dam on the Maequarie; Burrinjuck remedialmeasures and Lowbridge Flood Irrigation District on the Murrumbidgee; Bloworing Dam on the Tumut; completion of works for the BerriquinJernargo, Deniboota, and Donlmein Irrigation Districts on the Murray, and extension works on the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area.
