A correspondent writes: -

The new bridge at Mundarlo is very nearly completed.

All the decking is laid and traffic can now cross.

Mrs. Lucy Paton, the oldest resident of the district, was allowed the privilege of being the first lady to cross the bridge.

She is nearly 90 years of age and still does her own household duties, and looks hale and hearty.
