Contract Let For Jugiong Creek Bridge

A five-span bridge will be built over Jugiong Creek on the Hume Highway between Yass and Jugiong.

The Commissioner for main Roads, Mr. J. A. L. Shaw, has announced that a contract worth £59,995 has been awarded to Bowers Constructions Pty. Ltd.

The 395 ft. long bridge would be completed in about 19 months.

The new bridge would re-place an old and narrow timber truss bridge which was inadequate for present-day traffic.
