Cr. W. J. Hassett P.P. Board's New Director

Councillor W. J. Hassett, of Grahamstown, is the new director of the Gundagai P.P. Board, taking the place of his father, Mr. W. H. Hassett, who recently resigned.

Mr. C. T. Asimus was re-elected and topped the poll necessary for the election of the two directors for Division "C" of the P.P. Board, but Mr. Hassett was only three votes behind, defeating the other candidate, Mr. T. Roche, by 10 votes. There were 16 informal votes cast.

Councillor Hassett is a councillor for 'A' Riding of the Tumut Shire Council and is very popular throughout the P.P. District.
