Death of Mr. Wm. M. Farrell

17 April 1945 The Tumut and Adelong Times

Mr. William Matthew Farrell, well- known Adelong resident, died at his home at Adelong on the morning of the 16th April.

The late Mr. Farrell had been on the sick list for the past twelve months, and it was realised a few weeks back that his condition was such that improvement was not considered likely, consequently his demise was not so unexpected as might have been the case.

Fifty-two years or age at the time his death, William Farrell was of quiet and retiring disposition, but took a very great interest in local affairs.

He used to follow the baking profession until ill health forced him to relinquish his interest in that trade.

He was a bachelor in the fullest sense of the word, as prior to his last illness he lived quietly alone.

He is survived by several sisters and a brother, and to them we offer our deepest sympathy in the loss they have sustained.
