Death of Mrs. J. Elphick

Tumut, Sunday.  

The death has occurred, after a long illness, of Mrs. Wilhelmina Elphick, aged 77 years, wife of the deputy president of the Tumut Shire Council, Councillor James Elphick.

She was the second daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. C. Shintler, of Adelong, and lived in Tumut for 30 years.

One son, Frank Manfred Elphick, was killed at the Great War.

She is survived by her husband and 10 children- James Ernest (Katoomba), Mrs. G. Barker (Brisbane). Mrs. S. Stone (Glasgow, Scotland), Mrs. G. Spiers (Griffith), Albert (Arncliffe), Arthur (Bondi), Mrs. B. Jenkins (Berrigan), Norman (Hillston), Septimus (Marrickville), and Walter (Goulburn).

Mrs. Elphick's funeral was attended by representatives of the Tumut Shire Council, the district hospital, the Tumut Turf Club,

Masonic Lodge, Manchester Unity Oddfellows Lodge, the town band, Returned Soldiers' League, and Church of England Council.
