Gocup Sold

Gocup, a Tumut district property, has been sold at public auction for £28,000.  

The buyer was Mr. Harry Whittle, and the price for the 548 acres freehold was about £51 an acre.  

Gocup was owned by the late Mr. J. Fairfax.   

About 450 acres are alluvial flats, with a mile I and a half frontage to the Tumut River.  

Mr. Whittle also has an option to buy 6,816 acres of perpetual lease hold country.

Mr. Whittle and his brother-in-law, Mr. Alan Wilkinson, own Wee Jasper Station.

The selling agents were Winchcombe Carson and Co. Ltd. and M. R. Archer and Sons, in conjunction.
