Goods Trains Cancelled, Three Passenger Trains per Week  

21 June 1949 The Tumut and Adelong Times

The Tumut Station Master, Mr. Evans, informed the 'Tumut Times' yesterday that all goods trains to and from Tumut have been cancelled until further notice.

There will be a passenger train to and from Tumut on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at least. 

Schedules are being worked out at the moment but it is not known whether a train will run on another day or not.

On present information mail will arrive and be despatched only on three days a week. 

There will be no seat bookings, nor sleeper bookings, for train passengers.
