Gundagai, Motor Car Startled Horse

The Gundagai Independent and Pastoral, Agricultural & Mining Advocate

9 May 1903

The Wantabadgery mail cart, driven by Mr. R. Rankin, was knocked about somewhat on Wednesday last, when the horse attached to the vehicle, made a bolt down Sheridan street.

Mr. McKinney's motor car startled the animal, and as it tore down the main street, various attempts were made to stop it, but without avail, and not until it turned into West-street, where the vehicle capsized, was a capture effected.

Very little damage was done.
