Henry Hilton, Postmaster

The Sydney Morning Herald

29 March 1856

To the Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald.

Sir,- In your issue of the 21st instant, I notice, in an extract from the John o' Groat Journal on the "fastidiousness of fish," that the writer thereof expresses his wonder at finding an entire kitten in the stomach of a cod.

I beg to say that a few weeks back I caught a cod-fish in the Tumut River, and on opening it found an entire pup, apparently three or four days old.

I am, Sir, yours obediently, Henry Hilton, Postmaster. Tumut, 24th March, 1856.
