John Kennedy Hume Died

Mr. John Kennedy Hume, of Beulah, Appin, aged 65, died on Saturday afternoon at his late residence, Menangle, from heart failure.

The deceased was one of the pioneer squatters of the Yass district, and a nephew of Hamilton Hume, the explorer.

He was highly esteemed in the Campbelltown-Appin district as a gentleman of philanthropic character.

His remains were interred in the family vault at Appin on Monday.
