(From Our Own Correspondent.)

The photograph of Mrs. Bond, who is now matron of the Lambeth Auxiliary Hospital England, appeared in the London 'Daily Sketch' recently. Matron Bond has been mentioned for valuable war services rendered.

Readers will remember Mrs. Bond, who lived here for some years during the time that her husband was the local medico here. Dr. Bond has also had a distinguished career at the war, and has risen to the rank of major: he also won the D.C.M. decoration for bravery and devotion to duty under heavy shellfire.
