Mrs Gormly Turns 78

1 December 1916 The Gundagai Times and Tumut, Adelong and Murrumbidgee District Advertiser  

Mrs. Gormley, wife of the Hon. James Gormley, M.L.C., completed a residence of 78 years on the Murrumbidgee on Sunday last, she having been born near the junction of the Tumut on November 26, 1838.

Her father, the late Joseph Cox, of Livingston Gully, settled on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River the previous year.

Mrs. Gormly is still active in church and charitable works, and is a regular visitor to the Wagga District Hospital as one of the Ladies' Advisory Committee.
