Obituary - Mr. F. A. Lubke

The death occurred at his home yesterday morning of a very old resident of Wagga, Mr. Frederick August Lubke, of 39 Murray Street, at the age of 81 years.

Mr. Lubke came to Wagga in 1910, and prior to that he worked on the first portion of the Yanco Canal.

Later be engaged in farming and carrying pursuits.

He took a very active part in the Wagga Pensioners' Association and was one of its foundation members, being the first secretary.

Mr. Lubke, who had a short illness, is survived by his widow (Mrs. Lubke, of Murray Street); three sons, Messrs. Cecil H. Lubke, August F. Lubke and George G. Lubke, all of Tumut, and two daughters, Mary Magdalene (Mrs. J. Ed- wards) of Sydney and EvelynMary (Mrs. Bennett) of Batlow. 

The funeral will take place in Wagga today, the cortege leaving J. C. McDonald's Funeral Parlors at 2.30 for the Wagga Cemetery.
