Obituary - Mr. J. W. Creasy

The death occurred at the Wagga Base Hospital yesterday morning after a short illness of Mr. James Whitfield Creasy, of 'Virginia,' Mangoplah, at the age of 91 years.

Mr. Creasy was born in Virginia (US.A.) and came to New South Wales 52 years ago.

He was an expert tobacco grower and was engaged in growing tobacco at Molong, Tumut and Tamworth.

About 30 years ago he came to Mangoplah, and resided there until his death.

Mr. Creasy, who was widely known and esteemed in the district, is survived by three sons, Messrs. Locksley L. Creasy and William L. Creasy, both of Mangoplah, and Grosvenor O. Creasy of Canberra; one daughter, Mrs. George Mohr of Mango plah; 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

His wife predeceased him, as well as one daughter, Mrs. Sandbrook of Mangoplah, and three sons.

The funeral will take place in Wagga today, the cortege leaving the Methodist Church after a service commencing at 3 o'clock ' for the Wagga Cemetery.
