Obituary - Mr. Raymond O. Hogan

The death occurred suddenly last Thursday of Mr. Raymond Oliver Hogan, of Railway End, Tumut, as the result of a heart attack, at the comparatively early age of 38 years. 

Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Hogan, of Gocup, where he was born. For several years he was employed by Mr. Gus Clout on his Gocup property and moved into Tumut when he secured employment at Carson's box factory. 

Deceased married Miss Thelma Moffat, of Sydney, by whom he is survived, together with one son, Trevor (3 years), and one daughter, Margaret (14 months).

Brothers and sisters surviving are Leslie(Gundagai), Frederick (Midway, Gocup), Stanley (Tumut), Ethel (Mrs. B. R. Barton, Tumut), Eliza (Mrs. J. Barton, Gocup) and Sylvia (Mrs. Jeffery, Camden).   

The funeral took place on Friday last, leaving from All Saints' Church at 3 p.m. for the Tumut New Cemetery, where interment took place. Rev. W. J. Conran officiated at the graveside and funeral arrangements were in the hands of W. W. Beavan & Son.

Pall-bearers were Messrs. Les Hogan, Fred Hogan (brothers), Percy and Jack Barton, Cyril and Bertie Hogan (nephew).
