Obituary -  Mr. John Honell Darlow

17 October 1950 The Tumut and Adelong Times 

The death took place last month   at the District Hospital, Tumut, of a well-known and highly-esteemed Adelong identity, Mr. John Honell Darlow, at the age of 76 years, and his passing is regretted by his many friends and relatives.

To his good wife and, family we tender our sincere sympathy in their sad bereavement. 

The late Mr. Darlow was married to Miss Florence Townsend 55 years ago at the Church of England, Adelong.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons Dollie (Mrs. Bill Geaghan, Wagga), Clarice (Mrs. Thos. Geaghan, Wagga), Irene (Mrs. Fred Dennis, Adelong) and Ted and Pat, both of Adelong.

One daughter, Gladys (Mrs. C. Merryfull) predeceased him.

After a service in the Church of   England the cortege moved to the Adelong Cemetery, where the Rev. G. Armstrong again conducted the service at the graveside.

Many beautiful wreaths and messages of   sympathy were received by Mrs. Darlow and family.

The funeral   arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Boston Bros., Adelong.
