Sale to Benjamin Warby was Fraudulent

11 April 1836 The Sydney Herald

On Thursday last, the question of the validity of the claim of Benjamin Warby to his brother's (William Warby convicted of cattle-stealing) cattle, purchased by the former under peculiar circumstances, was tried at the Supreme Court House, before a Sheriff's Court, when the Jury (composed of Magistrates and merchants) found that the sale was fraudulent.

The cattle, upwards of two thousand, were confiscated to the Crown, and will be sold shortly by public auction.
