Swan River

15 January 1827 The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser

The Success takes to Rotness Island, 2cows and a bull, a sheep and a ram, 2 goats and 2 pigs, for the purpose of leaving them there to increase.

This Island is about 10miles from the entrance of Swan River; and, from the circumstance of the natives never having visited it, there is no doubt but these animals will increase rapidly.

If Swan River turns out as is expected, there is little doubt that the place will be colonized direct from England.

All sorts of culinary seeds will be sent with the expedition, for the purpose of benefitting future Colonists.
