The Murrumbidgee Flood Subscription

The Sydney Morning Herald

29 July 1852

A handsome sum was offered by the Synagogue frequenters, which was not so strong as usual, on the previous sabbath, amounting to above £50, towards relieving the distressed inhabitants at Gundagai, who escaped from the late disastrous catastrophe.

This amount it is expected will be increased- it not having been generally known by the Jews that a subscription was to take place on that day in the Synagogue.
