Thomas Halloran of Lacmalac has Paid his Interest

7 September 1865 The Tumut and Adelong Times

Sir, -

In your issue of the 31st of August I noticed a paragraph taken from the “Government Gazette,” commenting on Conditional Purchases of Land in this district, saying that my selection, with others, had lapsed on account of no-payment of the interest money.

As far as my selection is concerned this notice is a mistake on the part of the Government, as I have paid the interest money of my 100 acres (£3 15s.) into the Treasury within the time required by the Act, and hold a receipt for the same.

 I remain, yours truly.

Thomas Halloran. Lacmalac, 6th September, 1865.
