Deputation To Go To Canberra On Thursday.

Colonel C. G. Anderson, M.H.R., has advised the Secretary of the Tumut Chamber of Commerce that he has made arrangements for a deputation to wait on the Secretary of the Department of the Interior at Canberra next Thursday in connection with the proposed Tumut-Canberra Road.

He had been able to take this course following on the receipt of a letter from the Acting Minister for Defence.

Mr. P. A. McBride, advising that he was having some investigations made into the matter of the road. 

This matter was discussed at the annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce on Friday night last when it was resolved that Councillor A. N. Fuller and Messrs. A. T. Webb, M. R. Archer and D. McDonald be approached to comprise the delegation.

The Chamber will meet the expenses for the trip to Canberra.
