Tumut's Butter Output

Tumut Co-operative Dairy Company manufactured 658 tons of butter during the year for a profit of £1,071.    

Butter sales, totalled £278,671, while Commonwealth subsidy was £56,281.  

Suppliers received 47.7d. lb.

Store department sales exceeded £254,000, an increase of more than £30,234 over the previous year.

Discount and rebate exceeded £18,000, half of which was credited to shareholder-customers' share account, while the remaining 50 per cent, was returned to shareholders in cash.

After -payment of the final 10 per, cent, rebate, a surplus of £1,367 was shown.
