Tumut's Butter Output

Tumut Co-operative Dairy Company manufactured 658 tons of butter during the year for a profit of 1,071.    

Butter sales, totalled 278,671, while Commonwealth subsidy was 56,281.  

Suppliers received 47.7d. lb.

Store department sales exceeded 254,000, an increase of more than 30,234 over the previous year.

Discount and rebate exceeded 18,000, half of which was credited to shareholder-customers' share account, while the remaining 50 per cent, was returned to shareholders in cash.

After -payment of the final 10 per, cent, rebate, a surplus of 1,367 was shown.
