Tumut Crops

5 October 1951 The Farmer and Settler

Gundagai and Tumut corn growers are busy preparing land for sowing and much cultivation will be necessary to reduce 'the phenomenal amount' of weed growth.

Satisfactory seed beds have been prepared by intending growers of broom millet and areas are expected to show an increase on last year.

Acting agronomist (Mr. Nicholson) said some very good pea crops were to be seen, germination had been good, but some crops had been retarded by wet weather.
