A 30-years-old Tumut contractor was killed yesterday when the tractor he was driving reared over backwards and pinned him to the ground.

The dead man was Robert Myers, of Quinn Street, Tumut.

Myers, who was doing contour ploughing at the time of the accident, was crushed in the chest and abdomen.

He was still alive when ambulance men and a doctor arrived, but died on the way to the Tumut hospital.

Myers was working on the property of Mr. Knox when the accident occurred.

The tractor turned over backwards while he was driving it up a hill. The accident occurred about 3 p.m
