Work for Victoria Cross Winner.

John Ryan, V.C., who has been tramping the country for four years, has been offered a job in Melbourne.

Discussing his prospects with the town clerk (Mr. A. K. Harvey) he said that he would be pleased to accept the offer.

Ryan's only difficulty, that of getting to Melbourne, was overcome by the Mildura branch of the Returned Soldiers' League, which will issue a railway warrant.
